Satya or Truth is always relative and never absolute. Therefore, Satya can never be a clear winner in any given circumstances.
Here lies the irony between Truth and its interpretation. Each one of us is free to interpret the Truth as per our convenience, irrespective of its impact upon polity or society.
In this context, Gautam Adani’s tweet Satyameva Jayate, after the Supreme Court verdict can be seen or read.
Ironically, Gautam Adani was quoting from the logo of our judiciary, yet it’s not so ironical as it might seem, for the simple reason that the thin dividing line between a judgment and justice has been blurred in our judiciary since its very inception.
In a capitalistic democratic system, law and its enforcement is always heavily weighted in favour of the rich and the powerful. Instances of the inability to enforce the law against the powerful in cases of hit and run or bizarre mass killings abound in our system.
As such, travesty of justice is a forgone conclusion.
However, political diaspora of our country is no less responsible than the compromised judges in the system.
If I can hint at a starting point, I can recall the Shah Bano judgment during the era of Rajiv Gandhi.
Here was a judgment which conferred upon a septuagenarian, helpless woman, the right to live with dignity , but, the political expediency of immature Rajiv Gandhi, under the illusion of appeasing the hard core elements of the Muslim community, altered the law to subvert the Supreme Court judgement.
This is the first instance of the parliament when the law makers superseded the Supreme Court by enacting a law which was totally against the spirit of the Constitution of India.
If you hold Modi government guilty of doing the same in matters of Delhi administrative rights or Gautam Adani, you are grossly mistaken.

In fact, all the right wing political dispensation have their political and economic compulsions which necessarily goes against the interest of the people and the nation.
You can’t be a rightist and pro people or a nationalist in the same breathe .
Modi government has bluntly decriminalised whatever is unconstitutional. Judiciary is playing a supportive role in this game of dictatorship.
In a way, Modi government is doing a great service to the cause of the leftist forces in the country by ripping off the facade of democracy, socialism, secularism and impartial judiciary.
The Lady of Shallot shall meet her death the moment she decides to leave the mirror and start her voyage into the river.
Let the illusion and its veil lift swiftly and suddenly.
A new world emerges out of the ashes of the burnt down edifices of our beliefs and value systems.
Into that moment of Truth, let my country awake!
